I'm looking for a 2nd gen Canon F-1 to add to my rotation and shoot alongside my FTb — the all-mechanical, not "New F-1" version, but the one with a film reminder on the back and up to 3200 ASA on the dial. Mostly looking for a body only since I'm set on FD lenses for the time being.
I'd like to get one with:
* Working meter
* Working at all shutter speeds
* No mechanical problems with mirror lockup, DoF preview, self timer, frame counter
* No silvering or significant damage on the prism or mirror
* No fungus or significant damage in the eyepiece
* Preferably a split image focusing screen, but that's negotiable
Not fussed if it has brassing, minor dings/scratches, personalization like an engraved name or phone number. Probably going to replace seals and leatherette anyway, so those don't need to be in good shape either.
Bottom line, I just want it to function really well, since I plan to be shooting it a lot.
