I’ve been poring over Christina’s book lately and have about decided to nick Marek Matuz’s regimen for my first go round with a salt print:

> 5% sodium chloride bath
> toning with Clerc’s toner
> 2% sodium chloride bath
> fix, Ilford TF4 (1:4) [two bath]
> 2% sodium sulfite bath
> water wash

My question for you: what would I need to amend to process an albumen print? Would I need to use a weaker dilution of TF4, or even go to sodium thiosulphate, as a fix? I’m also curious if I can still tone that early in the process, or perhaps tone after fixing with a quick fix/wash at the very end?

Any thoughts appreciated!
