Wollensak Vesta Portrait Lens 7“ (180mm) f/5 in a new Compur 1 shutter
The Vesta is a classic Petzval lens with good speed. Made for the 4x5“ size.
Here mounted in a new modern Compur 1 shutter.
The diameter of the size one shutter are a little bit smaller than the original Wollensak shutter, the the speed is reduced to f/5.6
The shutter has the correct aperture scale for it.
The Wollensak shutter had only B and T mode, no speeds and most of it are our of order after around 100 years.
So a new shutter is a perfect choice, makes this beautiful lens usable with every modern film.
The lens has a small scratch on the front element, this has absolutly no negative effect, it is not visible. A little bit dust outside. Otherwise the glasses are clean and clear.
The shutter works in all speeds.
Comes inkl. The retaining ring and a M52mm filter adapter. The original filter thread is very uncommon and you can´t find filter for it.
This adapter ist made of brass.
