I'm hoping someone has some info on this. In a nutshell, I'm trying to use the Yongnuo CTR-301P radio flash triggers on my Canon Elan 7N (and also with my Minolta X-570). I have the kit thats works on Canon digital cameras, and it works fine there, but when I tried it on my Elan, it didn't fire the flash. I know the camera's hotshoe works, as mounting the flash directly on it works fine.
I don't have any thoughts as to why those might not be working but I did own the same triggers and found them to be somewhat unreliable at the best of times. Please let us know if you figure it out. I'm using the 602 yongnuo triggers now and have had success with them on a Mamiya RZ67 and a Canon EOS 5. They are worth the upgrade, if you can afford it.
Hi Andrew, thanks for the reply. I think i would take the easy route and just pick up the same set. There seems to be two different ones for Canon, at least from the seller where I buy from:
One is specified for the 50/40/30/20D and the other for 7D/5D. Do you know which one you have and I assume it's the same one used interchangeably between the RZ67 and EOS 5 ?
I'm not sure if this applies here, but the first thing I do is use a sync cord repair tool anytime I have any trouble with anything involving a sync cord.
