Windows 10 Color Monitor Calibration Tool

You can get the monitor somewhat better than how it came (if it is completely out of whack) but to do a proper color-managed workflow, you would need one of those display profiling gizmos (colorimeters, spectrophotometers.) Then you would need to get an icc profile for the paper/printer combo so you can match what you see on the monitor to the print.

If your using your laptop's display then Windows calibration is your only option as all you can adjust on the laptop is brightness, contrast, and gamma. I have a Dell Precision M3800 with a 3840 x 2160 ultra sharp LED display. The default gamma was way off and after running the Windows calibration things are much closer but I haven't done any prints on my Canon TS9020 but will later tonight or tomorrow.

I made up 5 business card photos using Photoshop CS5. Last night I printed them, 10 to a 8.5 x 11 page using CS5, Canon TS9020 printer, and HP Premium Plus Soft Gloss photo paper. Canon Pro Luster 3 paper profile gave the best results.
The colors are accurate but the contrast is higher in the print than viewed on screen. For gallery quality prints I would connect a high end monitor, use a color calibration tool, and print on a photo dedicated printer.
