According to an article in the LA Times September 5, William Garnett has died at the age of 89.
Garnett was the dean of aerial photographers. He produced many memorable fine art photographs while piloting his own plane.
His mostly abstract images from the air are in many important collections. Most memorable perhaps is "Snow Geese Over Lake Buena Vista".
He will be missed.
