There is a thread on the Large Format forum about Era and IIRC, Lucky being cut to ULF formats. I'm on my way out the door right now, but I'll try to post the link later.
forte's closing hasn't really effected me yet.
while i have both an 11x14 and 8x10 camera
i am too poor to buy film, so i am content nowadays to shoot
paper ...
there is another iron in the fire at photowarehouse.
they will be gettin master rolls again
to cut down to any size ... both 125 + 400 speed ..
i got an email confirming the forte-problems did not
change their situation ... they don't have an exact date as to
when the rolls will be up and running ( or is it cutting ? )
and as long as someone doesn't buy a whole roll all at once
(like they did with the 400 speed last time)
there should be film in oxnard --- for a little while at least .....
There is a lot of conflicting information about ERA film. I have read either on APUG or on the LF forum that ERA is closing down and also that to get sizes 8x10 or larger you need to place a 100 box order. That latter might explain why you see it for sale on Ebay, supposing that someone has made a large purchase and is reselling it a box at a time.
I have also seen Shanghai film mentioned, although there is some speculation on the LF forum that ERA and Shanghai are the same.
