or just spit it out?
I'm thinking about buying and slicing 70mm film, so I can get two stripes of 35mm, single perforated. Will nikon F90 work with that? I know (tried), it doesn't wind unperforated microfilms. I appreciate your opinion, before I spend any money.

Wouldn’t one want to try this with a manual wind camera so one can feel if it is going to jam and stop winding before the winding mechanism fails?

It will work, I have essentially the same camera, an n8008s. But these things grab the film hard when they spool it onto the takeup reel. If something jams, you can't manually rewind it either, and I once tried to cut a roll of film in half to put into another camera to no avail. The camera won't rewind itself w/ the back door open. Having the option to manually get the film out if necessary w/ a manual camera might save a lot of grief if something does jam.

You will need a Zenit ET camera.. this is the only one that can do that.
It can also deal with non-perforated microfilm,
