I am in the process of creating a studio in my garage. I mostly shoot analog, and I am wondering if my Godox X1 wireless transmitter will work when connected to the hot shoe of my Mamiya 645E. I will be using it to fire off-camera speedlites. I am fine shooting in manual and not using TTL as well.

If it won't work in the hot shoe, do you all know what type of PC cable I should purchase?

Thank you

I can't answer positivelyfor your setup, but I use a PocketWizard FlexTT5 that is designed for use with Nikon speedlights with my Rollei SLR gear and Hensel strobes. No problem at all with the hotshoe connection, just need a 1/8 to 1/4: phone cable to connect to the strobe.

This setup should work fine. Give it a try. The Godox triggers just need the center contact to be active to trigger the flash. The speedlites must be Godox/Flashpoint speedlites though. I don't think the X1 triggers other brands speedlites.

If I order a Godox X1RC (receiver) and connect it to the hot shoe my Yongnuo 560-IV, will it work then? I could also connect the receiver to my Yongnuo with a PC sync cable as well.

I think that would work. But why not get a yongnuo transmitter instead of a godox?. The yongnuo flash has a receiver built in.

I use a 560-TX to trigger multiple 560-III speedlites, in the hotshoe of a gripped Bronica SQ-ai. The only "problem" is getting the trigger into the hotshoe, since it is only grooved for a center pin, while the transmitter has multiple off center pins which have to be pushed in as you are putting in the transmitter. I had concerns about voltage, but found something somewhere on the internet that reassured me enough to go ahead and try it.

Edit: Yongnuo triggers and flashes
