I know I can just thread a narrow strap through the top slit on either side but would like to have a quicker way to unhook the strap by using the original or repro clips. My camera goes by any of these names: Automat MX Type 1, Automat Model Type 4, 3,5 A or K4A. On eBay, there are clips for the 2.8 C/D with configurations that would seem to work with the attachment points on my camera. Attached is a link to the clip. Just wanted to confirm if anyone has successfully used these types of attachments on the earlier 3.5 models.
Thanks JPD. If the clips are not as robust in holding the camera (if they even fit in the first place) compared to the alligator clips for the more recent models, I will just stick with my original plan.

Here's my strap. You see the locking tabs are just 2-3 mm and held in place by friction only. So even if they did fit, a normal nylon strap would be much more secure.
Thank you again for showing how the attachment could easily fail on the older type clip ends. I ended up getting the same Artisan & Artist silk cord straps with nylon ends that work with my present 2.8 and 3.5Fs but used in conjunction with the alligator clips. The silk in the A&A straps are very flexible and not initially cold on the neck as leather can be.
