I have an RB67 Pro-S and I guess when buying it I didn't realize that the back on it was 6x4.5 format.

I'm looking for a 6x7 back and am wondering if the more modern backs are backwards compatible?

I have the RZ67, and I was able to track down a copy of the owners manual online. I would think you could too. I know there old, but there's still a lot of info around for them. Enjoy the camera.

Thanks, I actually did find one (and a really good video a guy did on youtube) but it didn't address that particular thing.

In any case, I ended up buying one from a Pro-SD which works on the Pro (from what I saw on the Youtube video)

What a freaking beast! I can't believe how heavy it is. (My other camera is an M6)

All RB backs work on all RB bodies. They are backward compatible within the same series. I don't have a plain RB, so I'm not 1000% sure a plain RB will take an SD back or insert, but I'm pretty sure they will.

That appears to be the case. I found a Q&A just now and it said that same thing.

Hear me now and believe me later, the RB67 handheld is just what you need to be pumped up for photography.

The M6 is for girls.

There's an adapter one can put on an RZ to use RB backs. I wonder if the reverse is the case?

You can get the manual as a PDF free from the Mamiya site.

For Mamiya compatibility questions, I usually refer to the Reznitsky chart: http://www.reznitsky.info/Mamiya/Comchart.htm

It includes at least one typo. In the Magazine and Back section, "No doung exposure prevention" should read "No double exposure prevention"
