Here is the promised DOF table for Widelux 1500. It has 50mm lens. since there is not enough space on distance-ring i added two inbetween-markers(white tape with marker added) where possible, e.g. 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2 5.1, 5.2 10.1, 10.2m
Circle of confusion i "measured" by judging sharpness(Depth of Field of course) at a given distance. i had a target. I then calculated Circle of confusion when i defined DOF. so this value is individual. maybe the lens is sharper than calculated. i did this over 25 years ago i dont know exactly anymore what i have writtten around this followinng table. if some expert could comment and someone putting these values into a excelsheet or pdf if possible. I have no time doing anything right now and near future..
Always keep in mind: overall sharpness will be decreased when distance is set below 5m. thats for optical reasons. maybe Noblex solved this with tinier slit. Their lenses also are sharper(not much) and coating better.
We made "sunshades" for both. W1500= slit in lenscap. Noblex: taped uv-filter, roundshot 65/70/220 slit in lenscap but decentered since lens is tilted 2-3°. a black -velvet around.
Will upload that sheet also on my www.rotatingpanoramiccameras.tk forum
