Didn't you just post one above?
Koudelka's photos certainly have humanity, but do you really think it's because of the lens designs?
That was only a flukey one.
Find the clown.
Thank you for this opening statement of yours, sounds very sound to me.This past august I shot 110 rolls of film. Was on a beautiful trip.
I could have used any apo/asph/expensive lens. The kind that even collectors are jealous about owning.
But no.
I used a Rolleiflex 2.8E2 Schneider
Leica IIIg + hektor 28mm
Leica IId + 5cm nickel elmar.
Why you think?
Because my images need a LAYER OF SOUL.
And Soul lives between the grain, that very place that cannot be reached by the cold asph and apo devices.
Thank you for this opening statement of yours, sounds very sound to me.
Except 110 rolls of film sounds expensive!

Oh, you pure precious poet.
You chose to use those hobo cameras and glass when you heard the call of the muse.
Laziest attempt at humble bragging in some time on these pages.
You’re a wonderful photographer, and you are also cultivating a Prima Donna persona… that I have to admit I find amusing.
Perhaps that is the point?

Someone has to have a photo of a circus clown at hand for posting here!
Some of us do well to shoot 110 frames.

What do I think? I think you are a wonderful photographer. You make negatives and print them and really love what you make. THANK YOU for sharing your fun.
Show us the results, or rather a selection of the best. I want to know what a layer of soul looks like. Sounds kinda fishy.
Sorry Mr Mollycoddle, Mr Cynic here. Nothing is as simple as that. But on the other side of that realization there is another rainbow.
