I've been using Minolta's own software on this Scan Dual III scanner. Today I thought I'd try Vuescan. But the darn thing cannot find my scanner. It simply says no scanners are found. But the Minolta software finds it fine? So what's wrong with Vuescan? Anyone has any idea?

Unplug all other usb devices and then see if VS reads the unit. Make sure the Minolta software is not open or running. If it does then add the other devices. If it does not then with everything unplugged (except the scanner) reboot and try again. Also try uninstalling the Minolta software as this might be "hogging" the ports.

Is the scanner plugged into a port on the computer or into a hub? If it's a hub, try plugging it directly into the computer. Some USB devices don't work well with hubs (usually for speed or power reasons).

I have had my Scan Dual III working with Vuescan in the past, so It definitely should work.
