Deciding to take advantage of some gorgeous winter weather this afternoon, I loaded up a camera bag with the following and headed into downtown Vancouver: F6 and F2AS bodies (the latter Soverized and motor-less) along with 24 F2, 35 F1.4, 85 F1.4 and 180 F2.8 ED (all Ais) and a half dozen rolls of E100G/VS. Less than a half hour into my trek and my F6 decided to go wonky: the command dial would no longer allow changes of the shutter speed. What to do? Call into service an F2! Had I not thought to bring along a second body - "just in case" - the afternoon's shoot would have been lost. Mechanical Nikons...indispensible!
