I was set to pick up this inexpensive, but otherwise clean Rollei SL35 in non-working condition to fix the fast shutter speeds, that were said to be off.
On closer inspection it looks like the camera has been tampered. I'd only go in on an attempted repair like this if the camera has not previously been opened. Even if the camera is free, not worth my time, unless the camera is very rare. This model was the Singapore-made model. Not very rare or expensive in working condition. For this camera, a few dollars more and some waiting one could get a working sample.
This first picture is pretty obvious. Someone has tried or removed the front lens ring.
Not the first item I'd remove on this camera. The closing curtain latch, slit-width screw and high speed cam follower are all accessible by removing the top cover.
That would be needed to remove the mirror box to get to the shutter curtains. Basically a complete rebuild. Not something I'd want to follow someone's footsteps into, seeing as they could not fix the camera.
