I just saw another thread of somebody trying to recall who a certain photographer was, and I'm trying to do the same.

I remember in one of my photo classes, being shown a series of photographs of rich and/or promonent people (I'm guess business people mostly). They were kind of posed but in a natural way and I think most of them were done in offices and nice rooms. The photo's were slightly wider angled as well to encompass the entire room.

This is a terrible description but I'm having a hard time to vividely recall any one picture other than I know I've seen these photos. Does anybody know?

Color or B/W, or both? From what era? 40s? 70s? Contemporary?

Arnold Newman, maybe? He's the go-to guy for teaching environmental portraiture, a niche he is often credited with creating.

It was in colour, I'm not sure the era but I'm thinking maybe 90's.

Was this one of the photos: http://www.12thpress.com/?p=174?

Your description brought this very famous photo to mind, though I am sure if it was Arnold Newman, you would also have been shown black and whites.

It could be possibly Monte Zucker of Virginia or Al Gilbert of Canada. Both shot extensively in color and specialized in both environmental and studio portraiture

Tina Barney? Color, 8x10 camera, wonderful photographer.

You guys are awesome, it was Tina Barney though. I didn`t think anybody would come up with it, at least not so fast given my bad description. I could only remember a very vague image of what her photo`s actually looked like. I love her work.
