If FedEx handles it, it may not arrive its new home in mint condition.

Can't wait to see how they can scam the "nearest first" sort. Oh, wait, I have seen that..."SPONSORED."

Not a bad price per se.... but the 35 bux for shipping seems way over the top to me.

For 5k, they are not willing to include the cost of shipping.?

This camera was a re-hash of a number of other clones of a basic model. It is basically plastic and not very good. The Nikon E was a far better camera.

Not to stray too far afield, but the last item I bought from Japan, a Mamiya Universal Press, arrived just three days after I bought it, and was in perfect condition, including the shipping box. No complaints here.

I bought a new FM10 for a friend, and it soon developed several problems. A used Nikkormat would have been a better choice, despite its peculiarities. Long ago a $25 used Nikkorex lasted no longer than that FM10.

It is a one of a kind prototype and looks very nice in black.

I like this line in the listing:

Generally, the FM10 has cereal engraved on the bottom plate of the body

I am not interested in getting an FE10 or an FM10 but I do have various Cosina-made models which are similar. They include two Olympus OM2000s, a Konica TC-X, a few Promaster 2500PK Supers, a few other Promaster models, a Yashica FX-103, a slew of Vivitar V series cameras some odd Ricoh models, a Vivitar or two with the Minolta mount and lastly some Yashica FX-3 Super 2000s. I'm pretty sure the last one was made by Cosina. I don't think my Yashica FX-3 cameras were made by Cosina. They seem better made. At one time or another I have taken some njce pictures with these cameras. Even the slow and unimpressive looking kit lenses Cosina made are capable of good results.

What about Nikkormats instead of the Cosina made models? I also have a slew of Nikkormats. Yes, they have quirks but if they are serviced by a competent person they can be reliable and fun to use. These comments are based on my experience with the mechanical Nikkormats. If you buy one for $25 and don't have it serviced, you will probably be disappointed with it

My one regret with the Cosina-nade cameras is that there was no model with a Minolta mount and also a top shutter speed of 1/2000. I am not interested in getting an XK so all of my manual focus Minolta SLRs are limited to 1/1000. What about the Canon T-60? I have never read anything good about that model. I'd rather use an FTb.

I've owned and used the FM10, and it's a perfectly fine and reliable modern SLR. It's not real fancy, but is a fairly trouble free camera like most the Cosina SLR and rangefinders. If one needs a manual camera that takes quality lenses, has a bright clean finder, with a reliable meter that can use modern inexpensive batteries, the FM10 meets that need well.

i actually used FM10 for work and it had nver given any problems. It feels cheap because of plastic body and the used price is not as high as Nikon's made FM but it is a good camera.
