I am not interested in getting an FE10 or an FM10 but I do have various Cosina-made models which are similar. They include two Olympus OM2000s, a Konica TC-X, a few Promaster 2500PK Supers, a few other Promaster models, a Yashica FX-103, a slew of Vivitar V series cameras some odd Ricoh models, a Vivitar or two with the Minolta mount and lastly some Yashica FX-3 Super 2000s. I'm pretty sure the last one was made by Cosina. I don't think my Yashica FX-3 cameras were made by Cosina. They seem better made. At one time or another I have taken some njce pictures with these cameras. Even the slow and unimpressive looking kit lenses Cosina made are capable of good results.
What about Nikkormats instead of the Cosina made models? I also have a slew of Nikkormats. Yes, they have quirks but if they are serviced by a competent person they can be reliable and fun to use. These comments are based on my experience with the mechanical Nikkormats. If you buy one for $25 and don't have it serviced, you will probably be disappointed with it
My one regret with the Cosina-nade cameras is that there was no model with a Minolta mount and also a top shutter speed of 1/2000. I am not interested in getting an XK so all of my manual focus Minolta SLRs are limited to 1/1000. What about the Canon T-60? I have never read anything good about that model. I'd rather use an FTb.
