I just bought a CCB617 camera with a used 90 mm Super Angulon f/8 lens. Everything works fine but I’m curious about who made the shutter. It jist says
” lens made in Germany” and “051-9” on it.
Those are the only labels. Shurrter speed ring, aperature ring, synch setter knob, synch plug, cocking lever are just like all my other shutters (Mostly Copal). The only other thing a bit different is the the knob to open/close the aperature is very small-whicj is very good in that you can’t open lens by mistske if cocking shutter from behind the camera.
Mystery solved. While taking more close up photos of the lens from all sides I found on the bottom “Synchro Compur” engraved. This lens is so big it was only by looking from the bottom front can you see the name peeking out. Second lens added to show what I’m taking about.
