Who makes the 400 speed film for JandC? Is it Forte? I am particularly interested in the 4x10 size since only Bergger precuts it in that size. I believe the JandC 200 is the same film (I have personally only used the Bergger). I would be interested in the 400 speed version.

What EI do you expose for the JandC 400 speed film?

Any suggestions regarding developers? I regularly use Sprint (D76 1:1 clone), Xtol, Ilfotec DDX, HC110 and Rodinal. I prefer not to use staining developers.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

Hany.

Forte. Speed depends on what you develop it in. I like it in ABC pyro at EI 160 and Acufine at 640 for more speed, but generally I've found you can use the times for the old TXT as starting points for Classic 400 in most developers. It looks good in Rodinal at 400 too.

I've been shooting this film in 4X5, e.i. 200, and developing in HC110 dil. E, 8 min. at 70 degrees.
I use a condenser enlarger, so if you contact print you'd want to develop longer. Dean
