Hi everyone!

I recently acquired this brass lens, it seems to be a 2 element standard configuration, one on the front and one on the back. Aperture in the middle.

It’s made for lens boards, and has a front filter size of 39mm. As far as i can tell, it’s around 150~ ish MM in focal length. All i’ve got to go on is this logo stamped on the front, an anchor with the letters “W.K.” The manufacturer could be from the netherlands since that’s where i bought the lens.

Now i’m wondering, out of pure curiosity, Who made this lens? where’d it come from? any info would be much appreciated, thank you all in advance!

I wonder if that's even the maker's mark; might it signify that the lens was once property of someone's navy?

This community never ceases to amaze me, you all have an absolutely breathtaking amount of knowledge! It is very much a Kenngott! I’ll be sure to look more into this, would love to learn more about this fantastic little lens. It’s found a new home on my pentax s1a, excited to use it more in the future

Hi, I became interested in old lenses after using a Cooke barrel lens in the past, and it's fun just looking at 19th century designs like this!
