Who knew my Tax Preparer's Father was a photographer with a roll of Efke KB21?

My tax preparer surprised me totally today. I happened to mention film photography (imagine that) and he whipped-out a Hasselblad 500C kit several lenses, multiple backs and Metz strobes from under his desk! I was floored to say the least.

Turns out his dad was a wedding photographer and he had just started going through his father's photo gear collection and was interested in learning how to use the Hasselblad.

When I went back later that day to collect my return, I gave him a copy of the Henry Horenstein's Basic Manual on Black and White photography and a roll of Arista 400 120 film to get him started.

So he, in return, gave me a roll of Efke KB21 from his father's camera collection! I told him of the scarcity of the film and that HE should shoot it, but he insisted, so I relented!

I had been joking that I would buy a roll like this if I won the lottery, so I guess I have!

Hope it's still good; it's so old the expiry date has faded totally away!

I'm so jealous! kb21 is my favorite film! How old is that can? Still usable?

There is no visible expiry date anywhere on the can. It probably faded out long ago. The can looks like it is from the 1970's or thereabouts, but it is hard to tell with Efke; I don't think they changed their logo or wrapping design very often.

As to being usable, I can only try it and see!
