who is this apug photographer ???

hi i am hoping that some of you gallery haunters might be able to help me out.
a few days ago i happened upon a member here whose work is in the gallery,
unfortunately "mr. history" for my browser doesn't remember who it was, so i am
at your mercy

this photographer did a series of images where he just pointed his camera, and shot ...
no focus, no lens adjustments or meter &C ..
the images were ghostlike at times, and very painterly ( and inspiring! ) .
does anyone know who it is i am talking about ??
