I have an X-Rite 810. The calibration target that came with it is now so faded it doesn't return a good calibration. I called X-Rite to try to buy a new one and they basically refused to answer any questions because the 810 is unsupported. They couldn't even tell me if the currently available cal target for the current densitometers had a step around 3-ish density with reference values for VRGB. I called Stouffer, who does make a cal target with a step around 3-ish density, but they only have V reference values and can't provide the RGB values. Is there anyone else in the market who makes transmission densitometer calibration targets?

Didn't you already ask that on the other list???????? Told you not to get an 810! It's not supported.

So but they refused to sell you a new calibration target, or they would not tell you what third party product to buy?
Refused to sell me a target. The 810 is not supported so they no longer have targets for it. They couldn't or wouldn't answer if the targets they do currently sell (for the last remaining densitometer they still support) have a patch with a density around 3 and measured values for VRGB.

As far as I could find, there is no transmission/reflection densitometer still sold by anyone, so if you need one, you're going to be dealing with an unsupported product.

Stouffer sell transmission targets. You have to be patient with communicating with them though.

Otherwise Wolf Faust for the colour targets.

And ... any calibrated target will do. Do not think you need an '810 target'.

The 810 is not a "target", it's an X-Rite 810!

I have a couple Tobias densitometers. I was able to get service parts, a service manual and schematic from them. They seem to still sell new items and offer service parts and support.

That's a good lead. If they can provide a cal target, I'm in business.

For now, I've "calibrated" the 810 by using the visual-only number from the Stouffer wedge and inputting that value for all 4 channels. It now matches known readings correctly in the visual channel so I can at least use it for B&W work for now.

Fotowand only offers reflective densitometer-targets, and there are nor RGB patches, but CMY.
