Hi All,
I have only ever shot a few rolls of very expired film. The results were always a color shift, however this roll has spots! I’m hoping this is not something other than the film. The film was from the 70’s and spent years in an attic.
Thanks for looking.

looks like holes in the shutter curtain (on a rangefinder camera most likely). You can see the same pattern on each frame.

ahh Thanks Abruzzi! I didn’t even catch the repeated pattern. You are correct about the camera too. Leica IIIc, never service.

Absolutely. A nice giveaway is also the visible shape of the aperture in shots where it is likely that the aperture was stopped down. See e.g. frame 17a/18.

I find it very intersting that besides the spots from bad shutter screen, the film seems to only have a bit of magenta cast. This film has been in an attic in PGH PA for many years. I guess I shouldnt be so shy about shooting expired film.
