Hey everyone.
I processed some C41, scanned and had a few negs covered with these spots. I thought it was dust so I removed the carrier, cleaned the glass, blew it out, then blew the neg off and rescanned and all the spots are in the exact same place, so it definitely isn't dust. I took the neg back out and tried to rub off whatever the residue might be with a Pec Pad, blew it off, blew out the scanner, scanned again and again the spots were in the exact same place.
Is this water residue or stabilizer that didn't run all the way off? Or is this a processing mistake?
I used an Arista C41 kit. One minute prewash with agitation, then Developer, agitated first 10 seconds then every 30 seconds, same agitation with the blix (6.5 minutes), then washed for 3 minutes, then used the stabilizer (one minute with agitation first 15 seconds) and hung to dry. Used my finger as a squeegee, didn't notice any bubbles or stabilizer left over.
