Hi,
I'm going on a Casein Printing course this weekend (June 15th, 2013). I haven't tried this process before, but I have done (a little of) cyanotype, gum, salt, Van Dyke Brown and carbon printing before.

I need 3 images to make digital negatives from for this weekend. Which three images would you like to see as a Casein Print? What would be a nice set to (test) print with Casein? (Or which one shouldn't be printed at all ...)

Thanks for helping me choose ;-)
And I'll post the results from the course next week.

I like nos 55 (simple, full tonal range, plenty of detail), 56 (full tonal range, lots of detail) 58 (lovely portrait with plenty of character and humour). Of these, 58 is my favourite; I think it's a great picture.

Cheers,

+1 For 58, it has lots of texture which means higher chance of success. (The more texture you have, the easier / error tolerant becomes printing...) Starting with easier images is always good, no need to strain the motivation...

Good luck & regards,
Loris.

P.S. Sorry, you were asking for three images; add 56 and 61 to the selection. (56 would be a nice practice for sky, 61 would be a nice practice for specular highlights...)

No. 54 (Seagul), 58 (sheep) and 63 (rose) it's gonna be.
First day of the workshop is tomorrow.
I'll post the results afterwards.
