For a number of years now I've been making a calendar of black and white landscape photographs that I've taken over that year, to then give to friends and family. The first service I used was Mpix, after several years I tried Nations Photo Lab, and now I'm looking for another option... When it came to my black and white photographs, both Mpix and Nations Photo Lab were mediocre at best, kind of disappointed. Mostly from color casting and not so great paper.
I usually do my own printing so I don't have a lot of experience with other online services, and I'm probably setting my expectations a bit high. I have had good results with WHCC for straight prints but they don't seem to make calendars. I was thinking of trying bayphoto.com this year, as I've often seen their name come up for making digital fine art prints, they at least offer more than 1 or 2 printing options.
