I am not much into color photography, but from what I have used - best for me were Kodak Ektar and Fuji Reala, from cheaper films Kodak Gold and Fuji Superia 200.
For what you intend to do, and in your economic situation, simply buy whatever colour film is available to you at a good price. Seems like you are over-thinking things, which is natural at your stage of the journey. Just stop thinking and go out and do photography with what you have available. Once you get results and some experience, you'll be in a better position to know what you want.
I just started my journey with analog photography, and I want to start with the best equipment. Should I buy Zenit 11, FED 5 or Vivitar Ultra Wide Slim 22mm? Maybe you can recommend me something different? I need a good quality, sharp 35mm camera which can allow me to do photos in different locations with different lightning. Thank you
Cześć, jak się masz?
Not sure these cameras are a good choice for quality and starting out.
Although these cameras have the charm of the defunct Trabant, they are far from high quality. It's hard to go wrong with a good old Nikon FM10 and a 50mm or 35mm lens...they are ubiquitous on Ebay and as cheap as borscht. I'm sure you could find one of these Nikons in Poland.
A couple of inexpensive but very good cameras IMO, are the Nikon FG and Nikon 8008/801. (The 8008s/801s adds spot metering.) Couple that with a nikon Series E 50mm lens (2nd versionwith a chrome ring), and you're good!
I want to make photos for fun mostly, save moments in interesting way. Cross proccess my film to get some colorful, vivid shots. You can find tousands of it at lomography site. Im not that much into serious artistic shoting
are mutually exclusive. For the first quote, the equipment you have simply does not measure up. However, it is perfect for the second quote. I suspect the 2nd quote is closer to your real desire, so use what you have and buy any film that you can find, the cheaper the better. Part of the problem is that the whole lomo ethic is not considered "outstanding color and quality" by most apug members. You may find that expired, moldy, mishandled film gives you what you want. Also keep in mind that any photo you see associated with lomography likely has had a heavy dose of photoshop applied.
Most any 70's to 80's SLR by Pentax, Nikon, Minolta, Canon, Olympus or Konica will suite your needs. There were also a bunch of SLRs with m42 or Pentax K mount made by Cosina, Chinon, & Ricoh that will also work. I'd get one of these SLR bodies with the best LENS that you can afford and go take pictures. Have fun!
BTW, Soviet/FSU LENSES can be quite good. Most of the camera bodies were mechanical disasters. So if you get a m42 SLR there are hundreds of decent lenses that will work with it.
This camera setup will give you all you need for start - to fully understand all possibilities and all controls in photo making. It should not cost more than 20-30 euros.
