Hi all ... I'm looking for a meter to use with my Hasselblad CM500. I do mainly landscapes and details (bits of buildings, cars etc.) Don't use flash.
It needs to by relatively compact. Spot metering would be handy (but not essential). Very sturdy and of a vintage close to my late 70's Blad and lenses. And it must use currently available batteries. Any ideas?
Cheers

You can't go wrong with a faithful old Gossen Lunasix F, Profisix or the Pentax spotmeters.

Another option for you might be the metering prisms for the Hasselblad, either the PME90 or PME45. These will avoid you having to carry an external meter at the expense of adding bulk to the camera. If you take this option, make sure you have the correct focussing screen to use with the meter prism

Your camera doesn't care what hand held meter you use. None the less, I would recommend a Gossen Luna Pro SBC or F. Takes standard 9-volt batteries. The Minolta IV takes one AA battery, but it is not that small. Soligar spot meters also take standard 9 volt.

A meter that also gives readings in EVs would be nice. So look for that too.
