I have a Durst Laborator 1200 with the CLS 450 head. Actually I have two and plan to sell one. There will be some lenses that will probably go with the one I sell. Of these, which ones would you keep. I will be printing anything from 1/2 frame to 4X5. The 1/2 frame will not happen often. Medium format will include 6X9 and 6X6.

Leitz Focotar-2 50mm f4

Schneider Componon-S 100mm f5.6

Rodenstock Apo-Gerogon 150mm f9

and the following El-nikkor lenses:

135mm f5.6 #5286XX

105mm f5.6 # 5710XX

80mm f5.6 #7035XX

50mm f2.8 # 22004XX

Thanks in advance, Bill Barber

Actually, Bill, I think I would keep everything of substantial value right now, it's an extreme buyers' market. Hold on to everything you can until you can command a reasonable price. The market might improve by autumn. On the other hand, maybe for some of these items (e.g. the componon) maybe it won't make much difference.

The Rodenstock sounds like a keeper.

for myself personally I would keep the 150, 135 and 80, but if I had to knock one out of the list the 150 would go. My most used enlarging lenses are my 135 and my 90. I enlarge from 35mm to 4x5 negs.

I'd be interested in the compnon-s if it has an illuminated apature ring. Mine does not and it is incredibly annoying.

You will need them all. You only duplicate in the 50mm size, so choose between the Leitz and the Nikkor. You have the lenses so see which one has the best glass and keep that one. The 135mm and 150mm are both 4x5 so I'd choose the Apo. if you want to get rid of one of them.

If it were me, I'd keep them all except the Leitz. I'd sell that to someone who wants it for their Leitz enlarger.

Of course, since you do 6x9, you'll want to hold on to that 105.
