Which Kodak transparency film is this?

I've recently digitised some old transparency film for a friend. I would guess it was shot in the early 1960s.

The only edge codes on the film are attached.

Can anyone identify the type from this code? I've googled without fruit.

The top image ( bottom edge of the film ) shows the batch number and the bottom image ( top edge of the film ) should, if you look along the rest of the film, show the film type ( may be darker than these characters ).
The only information I can give from your image is the country of manufacture which is England.

Other Kodak film producing countries are.....

S*AFETY = Rochester, USA
SA*FETY = Canada
SAF*ETY = Harrow, England
SAFE*TY = France
SAFET*Y + Austrailia

If it's that old and the color looks good, it's most likely Kodachrome.

I examined each strip carefully, but these are the only edge markings present.

Just reminded that if it's kodachrome, the image will have quite a pronounced relief on the emulsion side, with side/back light.

Do the slide mounts give you a clue - if processed by Kodak, they often indicated whether the film was Kodachrome or Ektachrome.

Ah but these were just cut into strips & not mounted

It's 120 by the way, something I dimly neglected to say in the OP.

They've gone back to the owners now so I can't look again at anything else, I meant to post this query before I sent them ... d'oh

I didn't know that the "dot" in "safety" meant anything. I've seen it, of course, but never thought much about it. I learned something very useful today!

Very unlikely that they are Kodachrome then. 120 Kodachrome was only around for a relatively short time.
