Which film stock is Lomo Tiger 110 based on?

Hi there

Trying to squeeze as much fun as I can out of my Lomo Tiger negatives, it would be really helpful if I knew what film stock was being used by lomo for this film. Lord knows these tiny negs need all the help they can get, haha. I use Silverfast to scan and it lets me load different profiles for many different film types. I was going to just to a trial and error and try scanning all of the 200 ISO profiles it has to see what one looks the best but I thought I would ask if anyone else has tried this or has the info??

Does anyone know what the 110 film is? In fact if people know what the other lomo films are based on, that would be useful to know too.

They seem to use various sources, so it is difficult to be sure. The 110 black & white film has been suggested as being an Orwo emulsion, because of the developing times. That seems a possibility as Filmotec make black & white 16mm cine films. With the new "Purple" Lomochrome film (a C41 film in 35mm & 120) their website says it is being made in a new production facility. That could, I suppose, mean new to them. Interestingly the BBC report that the Lomography company are one of those believed to be interested in Kodak's film facilities. No doubt we shall eventually learn the truth.

If Lomography is indeed interested, I hope they maintain the quality of the film.

Actually they got back to me. In case anyone cares they say I should use a profile for Kodak Gold or the appropriate Ferrania profile -- I am not going to be scanning any more Tiger for a few days so I will try them then. I am not sure if the suggestion of it being Ferrania is a red-herring or not, as I thought they were out of business,

You only need a pancake out of a refridgerated warehouse. Not a running plant.

110? As in that sorta 16mm film size? Really?

I had several 110 film cameras way back. Small, convenient, lousy quality but good enough for snaps.
