Oh jeeezzzz
That L1000 looks like it will be a bear and expensive to get going again.
But then it sold for only 26 GBP
- According to the seller he threw out the baseboard. And from the pix, I don't see the base frame. w/o the frame for the baseboard you will have a VERY difficult time installing the column on a new baseboard, because the column attaches to the base frame, and the baseboard attaches to the base frame. So you would need to find a new base frame, or make something to support the column. Or are those 2 brackets on the column meant to be bolted to the wall?
- He said he found the negative carrier, but how about the negative masks. If they are missing, another difficult to find and expensive parts to replace.
- Lens boards will be expensive, if you want a lens board for each lens.
- I would test the power supply head before closing the deal and packing it. If it does not work, might be expensive to repair the problem, then again it might be a simple fix.
I have a L1000 and it started as a good deal...until I started replacing the missing parts...then a good deal became a not good deal.
Missing Durst parts are difficult (to almost impossible) to find and expensive when you do find them.
