I have iphone and android - on iphone I can download official app (LomographyScan) - but it works terrible (see photos). No focus, useless. On android I cannot find official app, other that I tried are useless as well. I can always make a photo with a camera and edit in PC, but the whole point of this scanner is that all should be done without computer help.

I don't have the Lomo scanner, but I just downloaded the app (Lomography Scanner 2) and everything seems to work (tap to focus, pinch to zoom...). But, I didn't try it on a negative, maybe it has trouble finding contrasting features on the negative to focus on?

Thanks brbo, It is possible that latest iPhone has an issue with camera API, I have noticed for example that not all features of the camera are available in WhatsApp and other third party application - in comparing with original camera application that comes with the phone. Macro and focusing up close is one of them.

Lomography iPhone app seems like an oxymoron to me. Are they going to have to rewrite all their marketing material about the authenticity of glamping with film and such?

I think Lomography understand that their customers want a digital image from their film negatives, so why not produce an App.
Seems logical to me.
