If you are travelling by road through NS on your way to NF, you will probably be going along Route 6, aka the Sunrise Trail, towards the ferry from North Sydney (it is far more photogenic than the TransCanada/104, which you will rejoin anyway in New Glasgow). Should you do that, you will drive past my front door. I can lend you some K-mount lenses or a second body if you like - just drop them off on your return journey. On the way to the ferry, be sure to take the road to the west of the Bras d'Or lakes, which is far more scenic than the east side (Rte 105 rather than Rte 4) and go through Baddeck, unless you are really going the long way round via the Cabot Trail. I just spent a week up in Cape Breton and regretted taking only 400ASA films - it was hot and sunny and I ended up using f16-22 all the time.
