Where's all the pyro gone??

Does anyone know where I can get some more pmk pyro in the uk at the moment? Everywhere in London seems to have run out! I've asked Silverprint and they say they're having issues with getting hold of part of the chemistry used to make it. Just wondering if anyone knows why? Getting worried though because if Silverprint can't get any....!

Just make your own. Once you get a supply of the constituents laid in, your cost per liter of stock solutions goes way down. The ingredients have virtually infinite shelf life. (At least that's true for the ABC ingredients. The metol in PMK might have a somewhat limited shelf life, but I should think it would keep for years.)

No need to, there are good suppliers for raw chemistry in the EU (contrary to popular perception UK are EU members ) which don't involve hassles like customs or import duties. The recent thread about "Amidol in the EU" named a couple of them.

Pyrogallol isn't only used in photography. I buy it (I'm in Australia) from Merck.
