Where to send a RB67 lens for repair?

I hate to throw anything away, especially something as nice as a RB67 lens. i have an f=127 sekor that seems to "hang-up" when i fire the shutter. it will do this on every RB body i own. the lens is set to "N" so i don't think that is the issue. it probably just needs a CLA. the problem is KEH wants $135.00 for this service. considering i just purchased a brand new F=150 KL in the box from them for $129.00 i just can't do it. does anyone like to tinker on these, or know someone they could recommend? I don't want to scrap it and i don't think i am up to the challenge.

I learned of him from this site and his prices are less than KEH but I think a repair of this nature will run at least 80-100 plus parts no matter who does it.

I talked with him for about an hour once and his passion is watches so I bet he can do an RZ shutter.

He can completely disassemble my chrome Seikosha shutter for Mamiya Super 23 and hardly anyone will touch those.

He is in MI. but that is not an issue for me at least.

The 150/3.5 KL you just bought is an extremely nice lens, far better than the old 127 that's due for retirement. Frankly, I'd scoop whatever of KEH's KLs you can afford. They won't be around for much longer. Some believe the KLs aren't as durable as the old C series, but just how likely are you to wear out the shutter of a brand new lens?

thank-you for the suggestions. i will send inquiries to both recommended techs. I agree that the KL lenses are a great deal, and i do intend to purchase some of the other focal optons they have available for my Pro SD kit. i just can't stand the thought of scraping what appears to be a very nice F=127 lens. if i can get it serviced for a reasonable amount, i think i will. If not, i guess i could attempt this repair myself, the worst thing is that i would still have a useless lens, only now it would be in pieces.

well, i called and spoke with Dave Easterwood. he seems like a very nice guy, and from what i could find on the net, very knowledgable. while this may be one of my dumber investments, i think i am going to send him my lens. i know i can buy another lens that works for the same, or less money than what a complete overhaul is going to cost. but, i do like the idea of supporting a guy that apparently loves cameras as much as we do. i will have a "like new" lens with a six month warranty delivered by a guy who definately appreciates the buisiness.
