Still rather new at 4x5, so here's my question. Will be gone all weekend shooting, and just realized that I don't have any empty boxes to put my exposed 4x5 film into.

Do I put it in the unexposed box maybe under the cardboard divider?
Get a new box somewhere? not sure where...

What's the best practice?

You could use a good light-proof paper safe. Most of us use old film boxes. But make sure they're the three-clamshell type, like Kodak offers. I've
seen two-piece boxes allow light to enter once the film is removed from the inner black plastic pouch; and I've seen light leaks from the corners of
certain EU film boxes. When in doubt, use that inner black pouch again.

Thanks Drew, was trying to find something before Friday. I'll try the envelop trick and see how that works out.

If you do not have an old film box, you could use a 4"x6" photographic paper box although it only has a top and bottom, no three clam shell set up.
