Where to put filters in Durst M700?

This is, probably, a very dumb question, but where do I put the filters in Durst M700 enlarger (I'm about to make my first print, please bear with me)?

On the front of the head, there is a latch door, that can be lifted. Inside it, there is a box with a lens (I guess this is what is called condenser, right?). It looks like this:

It is 140x105mm, and the lens diameter is 85mm. The set of filters I bought (the Ilford Multigrade) are 89x89mm. Do I just drop one on top of this lens box?

My other idea is that, perhaps, they go into the mirror box, which looks like this:

It has a grove around the perimeter, which looks like it's made for sliding flat sheets into it. Is this for sliding in the filters? The perimeter of the box with the groove is 105x90mm, so I'd have to cut the filters to fit into there. But I don't think this is the right place, because the filter would be right next to the light bulb, and I think it would melt.

While I have your attention, I'm interested why the lens in the condenser box is mounted onto springs: it can be depressed into the box from below, but only slightly (about a couple mm), and, when released, springs right back to the original position.

From the looks of the photo you posted in the other thread, you have a greyish filter drawer which sits between the neg carrier/condenser (the black thingie with the lens you've shown here) and where the mirror box goes. You just open it and put the loose filter inside. Kodak and Ilford makes such filters.

BTW, I found a place which has the manual for this enlarger for sale: http://www.texsales.com/products.php?cat=53 though I have no experience buying from them, so you're on your own there...

So, a filter goes on top of the condenser, then, right? The "drawer" that you circled is just a door that swings open, revealing the condenser.

Do you suppose it's worth it to buy the manual? I'm thinking that an enlarger operation is pretty simple, once I figure it out. Or are there any nuances that the manual can reveal?

I think this is the filter drawer. It goes on top of the condenser which is in the neg carrier. I am not sure if you will benefit from the manual. At this point, I suppose you have gained enough info to be able to use it, so what you may gain from the manual is the smaller details of using the enlarger and how the part you are missing actually looks like.
