Recently I bought a Yashica mat-124G, which seems to have bay1 mount. I'd like to know where to find one.
Also, does anyone know the difference between 'skylight' and 'uv' filters? Which is better?
There are also filter adapters bay 1 -> 49mm or 52mm. I have one of those to 49mm, since I am using Minolta with 49mm filter size. But it prevents using a Bay 1 hood, you could just use a screw-in hood of the same size though.
And I have a kit of Rollei Bay 1 filters (I think 3-4 different), came in a pouch with the lens shade (Bay 1 external bayonet, the filters go into the internal bayonet of Bay 1) and the two pairs Rolleinar close-up lenses (parts for the taking and viewing lenses).
Heliopan sell them new. They're not cheap.
This is the range they call 'speciality': yellows, reds, IR etc. UV filters are in a separate set called 'protection', and they do a couple of chices of ND, polarisers. and even one little rubber hood.
Ludtz Brass adapter rings are inexpensive when compared to B&W, my preference and the thread on thread track could be a bit deeper but I like the value they represent an they may have what you need, plus Hasselblad Bay 50, 60 filters to regular threaded filters, ie. Bay 60 to 67mm.
There are also Bay 1 plastic square hoods available, check Amazon and eBay, the store on either of "Heavy Star".
