I have some 3.5"x2.5" negatives that is cut by scissors. They are curly. I found this solution to keep it flat in my Epson v850 scanner. https://tru-vue.com/2015/07/solution-for-scanning-curled-film-negatives/

Where can I buy one online?

This is the only source I can find but it's made of glass instead of acrylic and I only need 1 sheet. https://www.etsy.com/listing/237595976/tru-vue-reflection-control-non-glare

Is this a good alternative? https://www.amazon.com/US-Art-Polystyrene-Thermforming-Protection/dp/B078QCJ3X1/

I've found scanning right on the glass with the emulsion side towards the glass is the easiest way to do it. I use an 8x10 sheet of plexi that is non glare I found at Home Depot of all places. They have a small section of framing glass. Only costs a few bucks. Buy a few... Only problem is since it is plastic, you can get some static. I use a guitar pick to pick up the neg off the glass. I've been doing it that way for at least a decade. Works great.

I think this is it but I've bought it in 8x10-

Hope that helps you!
