Does anybody know where to buy the 'pair of glasses'-like X and FP sync contact caps to protect the both contacts from the elements? By 'pair of glasses'-like I mean two caps interconnected by a small piece of rubber or plastic. See the attached image of a LX with these caps. For some reason or the other I can not seem to find them online.

I do not get the benefit of it, as I cannot see any design details.

Is the idea to bend up one cap and then twist the other by 180° to then still have both caps fixed to a connector?

If so, then take 2 single caps and hot-glue an elastic bridge or a string between them.

It’s so when you take one off to use one flash connector you don’t misplace the cap. Kind of like the tether on a car’s gas cap.
