Hi!

Hopefully this is the right thread -

I'm looking for the most affordable archival frames I can find for 5x7 prints. I have a show coming up and would rather just buy than cut my own mat and foamcore this time around.

Any suggestions? I see that Blick has some options, but not sure who else.

Thanks!

+1 for Frame Destination. Never a problem! Bought 50+ large complete frames from them last year. First class all the way. Just placed another order with them 10 minutes ago.

I've ordered complete kits multiple times from Frame Destination, including for my recent gallery piece last month. Other than one very minor glass chip once, they have provided top shelf service.

Hmm, I'll give them a try next time - Didn't know we had a framer advertising on APUG.

I've been really happy with American Frame… you can even upload a scan and try on different frames and mattes (though I always just get the thin gloss maple).

American Frame doesn't sell glass though - acrylic or UV acrylic. You can specify archival board. Very reasonable prices, I use them when my kids decide they need my latest print.

It looks like you are in Dallas, so framedestination should be super great for you! Might even be able to make an online order and pick up at the shop to save shipping.

Yes, I am, are they in the area? I think american frame only offers acrylic due to weight and packing concerns. I'd prefer glass...
