Hello guys, I'm new to this forum, I don't know if i'm posting on the correct thread but I'm looking for good and reliable arca-swiss type plates and arca compatible tripod heads. Thanks in advance! Answers are very much appreciated.

I don't know if they're going to do a Black Friday sale--you could message them and ask, they respond very quickly--but if you're looking for Arca-Swiss style plates of many kinds (or focusing rails/gear), I've found Hejnar Photo's accessories very reasonably priced and of superbly high quality.

Whenever I need something in that line, I always check their site first to see what they have available.

Probably not what you are looking for, but if you want the best Arca Swiss compatible tripod heads, you can't beat Arca Swiss, though they start pretty pricy/high end. Arca Swiss Usa has a 10% off (almost) everything black friday sale:

Welcome to Photrio!

I like the carbon fiber INDURO tripods which are less than the big name brands but are compatible with the Arca-Swiss and Manfrotto parts.

Benro heads are a good value for the price. I have an HD3a pan head I love. I buy my Arca-Swiss style plates from the auction site, way cheaper than genuine ones and even Benro or Induro plates.

My model-specific camera l-plates are from various PRC manufacturers, and I decide based on whether I like the design and features. Latest is a Nikon Zfc plate from Neewer. Despite modest price, it's nicely finished and works perfectly. Have previously used products from a high-end USA company, and these were also good quality, but they didn't always have the products I wanted, and I was never fond of their reliance on hex screws.

Tripod heads / clamps: Arca-Swiss, Joby, Vanguard, Hejnar and ..? There are lots of decent choices these days, and a (much) higher price is no guarantee that you'll be more satisfied with a product.

I have a warning about a Neewer head I bought a couple years ago--the AS clamp was not to AS spec and it didn't close enough to actually hold half of my cameras. The monorail on my Arca Swiss 4x5 would slide right through with the clamp tightened down all the way. It also would fully hold any A-S, RRS, Kirk, or Sunway (another chinese brand AFAICT) clamp tight. That one ended up in the trash because the first thing I attached held fine, and I was past the return period when the flaw was discovered. I also had a very short lifespan on a Benro tripod recently, though their heads may be fine.

Happy user of Leofoto LH-30 ball head for 5 years. Fully compatible with original ArcaSwiss plates.
Leofoto is reliable brand, I believe there is more of chinese brands coming from the same factory, full assortment in big auction site.
