Where can one buy flat accessory shoes (standard type for flashes, finders, etec.)?
I have this Moscow 5 camera that I like a lot except for the squinty viewfinder. However, I have a nice big finder that is just about perfect in format for the camera, but the Moscow 5 does not have an accessory shoe on top. I figure that I may be able to just glue the shoe on if I can find one of the right type.

Some $1.00 cameras have a hot shoe -same size as the accessory shoe IIRC. The one in my hand at the moment even has three very small screws to attach it to the plastic body. If you don't want to drill/tap 3 very small holes in your Moscow 5, epoxy will probably work. If you can't find one locally I'll mail you one - it will take about three weeks to get there.

I assume he means the plastic ones that use 35mm film, but are somewhat between toy camera and P&S. At the thrift shop I occasionally stop at to find my $25 Leica (which I haven't found yet) I usually see a few of those.
I found one on top of an old electronic flash, which attached with two small screws. I removed it and affixed it to the top of the Mosco 5 with a piece of double sided fiberglass carpet tape. This attaches quite rigidly, but allows removal without damage to the top of the camera.
Great solution. What I meant, for anyone who can't find a junker to harvest, is pretty much what mgb74 says, only closer to toy than P&S. They are re-loadable. I bought a few at the local Field's store, new on sale for $1.00 (regular price $2.00), for my son to use.
They have a metal hot shoe. The outside frame (essentially an accessory shoe) is attached with 3 tiny screws.
