It’s probable more of an indicator of when YouTube because a popular place for manufacturers to post training videos and sales videos.2012 date on their video is clearly quite some time after the meters release!
Found an April 2011 video quick start guide for the L-7582012 date on their video is clearly quite some time after the meters release!
It seems it was discontinued at the end of 2016.....
Why am I asking this?
I had a discussion about "planned obsolescence" and product support. If you buy a TV or smartphone today, don't expect support for more than 2-3 years. Getting it repaired after 2-3 years, forget about it with many products.
It seems you overheard my discussion... :-D That was my argument. And then you have the products from companies in the Far East which have zero parts, zero service, and only the initial warranty period...if it breaks in warranty they send you another one. Folks buy them anyway, becasue they are so cheap compared to the traditional full support brands...behavior which does not reinforce the traditional model of full parts and service support, with its cost overhead.
