When was Agfa Record Rapid discontinued?

Asking for a friend…… as they say!

Anyone got a definitive year as to when Record Rapid was discontinued, instead of my speculation? Thinking about where and when I was working, am sure it was still available in the UK around 1995, but don’t think much longer. I know Agfa MCC had come in before 1993, (when I moved from one lab to another), and for a while both papers were available, but not for long.

Any clues?

I don't know when it was discontinued, but I think it went on for a while after it became cadmium free.

Sadly other papers like Kentmere Kentona, Art Classic and Kodak Ektalure also became discontinued.

Thankfully we still have some excellent variable contrast papers.
