when to sell gear

i have a d7000 kit, a tam 70 300mm nik 50mm nik 18 70mm, is it too late to sell for christmas
or whats the best time of year for selling photographic gear.

Photography is not seasonal. The best time to sell is when you have a buyer.

Thanks, I have a buyer? Who wants to do a Paypal transaction, Could some one give me a heads up on this, He has bad english which makes him sound like a Chinese scammer, I'm no great speller myself, But this is my first sale not conducted in person, So any advice would be much appreciated,
I'm selling the lot for 950, and like money so dont want to bo done

Simply be very cautious if you still want to sell, but if in doubt don't proceed. You may loose a sale but you will still have your equipment to sell another day. If you have spoken to this guy ask him for his Telephone number - and not a mobile one either. If he refuses that speaks mountains about him.

It is a personal thing with me that I will not do busines via E Bay, there are too many crooks out there to take a chance. A real thieves paradise.
As for PayPal I am not so sure about their ethics either. True most of their transactions seem to go through OK but once on their books you will have a lot of difficulty getting rid of them. Their HQ is in Luxembourg and the one and only bit of business I did via them resulted in countless auto-generated E Mails, until they seemed just to get tired of sending them with no responce..
